Our Story
MIVIA was born from experience... not theory. From the lessons learned in boardrooms and breaking points alike.
For more than two decades, Monica Delaney-Terán rose through the ranks of corporate and federal leadership, earning senior roles as Director and Vice President and supporting pipelines valued at more than $34 billion across government sectors. She learned what it meant to succeed... to build teams, drive performance, and lead organizations through transformation. But she also saw the cost of leadership when humanity gets lost in the pursuit of achievement.
After navigating one of the most personal challenges: postpartum depression in 2011, Monica experienced a reckoning that would redefine everything she believed about herself, empowerment, success, and leadership itself. What began as survival became a rebirth, a return to authenticity, purpose, and presence.
As a proud first-generation Bolivian-American woman, Monica’s path was never paved with privilege. She rose through grit, resilience, and a determination to make her family’s sacrifices mean something. With no generational wealth, elite networks, or traditional safety nets, she built her career from the ground up, earning senior executive roles and winning more than $7 billion in contracts across government sectors. Yet, the higher she climbed, the clearer it became that success without purpose wasn’t enough. She realized "real" leadership required more than performance — it demanded presence, integrity, and humanity.
That awakening, paired with her academic pursuit of a Master’s in Statecraft, Diplomacy, and Strategic Influence — gave rise to a new mission: to redefine leadership in America through integrity, empathy, and civic responsibility.
She saw a country divided by fear, ideology, and “shitty leadership” — leaders who had forgotten that influence without humanity isn’t leadership at all. MIVIA became her answer — a place to help people and organizations rise differently: with consciousness, courage, and community.
The name itself, MIVIA — derived from “mi vía,” meaning “my path” in Spanish — honors Monica’s own journey of transformation. It represents the bridge between professional excellence and personal alignment — where purpose and performance coexist.
Today, MIVIA is more than a company; it’s a philosophy. A call to rebuild oneself from the inside out. Through coaching, leadership development, intensives, and public speaking, Monica equips others to lead with both head and heart — because the future of leadership depends on those willing to do both.

Meet Monica
Monica Delaney-Terán is a leadership strategist, speaker, and mentor redefining what it means to lead — starting from within.
As the founder of MIVIA LLC and creator of the Together We Lead movement and podcast, Monica bridges leadership, wellness, and human development to help individuals and organizations lead with clarity, integrity, and compassion.
With more than two decades of experience across corporate and federal sectors, she rose through the ranks to senior executive roles, leading multimillion- and multibillion-dollar initiatives and guiding high-performing teams through complex transformations. Her career spans leadership in strategy, operations, and organizational development across government contracting, technology, and professional services industries. Over the course of her career, she has won and managed more than $7 billion in contracts, led cross-functional teams of hundreds, and partnered with senior executives and federal leaders to drive large-scale organizational change, cultural renewal, and sustainable growth.
But behind the professional success came a deeper realization — that sustainable, impactful leadership begins with self-awareness and well-being. After navigating personal challenges, including postpartum depression and burnout, Monica began to piece together what would become the cornerstone of her life’s work: the integration of wellness and leadership. She discovered that leaders cannot drive meaningful change externally if they are disconnected internally — that emotional, mental, and physical wellness are not luxuries, but prerequisites for effective leadership.
Monica’s approach is a synthesis of experience, academia, and empathy — blending evidence-based leadership practices with emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and holistic well-being. A certified Reiki Master, Master Life Coach, and Gallup Strengths Coach, she combines analytical insight with intuitive understanding to guide others toward balance, presence, and purpose.
Today, Monica mentors leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers to cultivate resilience, elevate culture, and lead from authenticity — showing that leadership, at its highest form, is both strategic and deeply human.
For Monica, leadership is not about hierarchy — it’s about wholeness. It’s about how we manage our energy, treat our people, and embody the integrity we expect from others. She believes that wellness is leadership, and that the leaders who learn to lead from wholeness will be the ones to heal and reshape our culture for generations to come.
